SW Developer

Location:Pleasanton, CA
Rate:$55.00 per hour to sub or 1099
duration:3-6 months
Job Description: Our customer is looking for a SW Developer it’s Technology division. This person will be an integral member of a team working on high-volume, web-enabled commerce systems. The ideal candidate will be accustomed to working in a fast-paced Internet production and development environment, coupled with a passion for developing new technology to meet the demands of business.

Design and enhance a large web-based 3-tier transaction system.
Interact with Business Owners, QA, Systems Support, and Marketing to ensure success of our applications and to understand how to improve the utility of our systems.
Write and maintain software using a variety of languages including Java, Perl and PL/SQL.
Collaborate with other developers in developing solutions that meet identified business requirements.
Participate in the design of large-scale systems and assist other engineers with completion of their projects.
Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Experience with JBoss or other application servers such as Weblogic or Websphere.
Experience with JMX (Mbeans), Hibernate, JDOM and Apache Jakarta. (As many as possible).
Experience with J2EE technologies - Java servlets, Java Server Page (JSP), JDBC, XML, JavaBeans, and RMI. (As many as possible).
Minimum of three years developing Java code “from scratch” without relying on code generators.
Experience in an internet-based production and development environment.
At least five years experience writing high-performance OO software.
Experience with Web Services (SOAP or HTTP over XML) or MISMO XML is very desirable but not required.
Strong development experience in a Unix or Linux or Solaris environment, including shell scripting.
Design and development experience creating and using Oracle database interfaces and database schemas.
Working knowledge of HTML
Experience writing Javadoc (This is Java documentation)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with team members
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Desired Experience:

Experience writing Perl is a plus
