IT Operations Manager

FUNCTION
Manages, directs, and oversees the personnel, projects, policies and procedures within the IT Operations work group of the Information Technology Department.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
This is a specialized, technical and management position overseeing system administration, network engineering and the help desk functions of the IT department.
Work is performed under the direction of the Information Technology Director.
Work is reviewed primarily for achievement of work assignments in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to established office policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or work experience as may be deemed to be the equivalent of such professional education.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar environment that shall include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Must have a thorough understanding of computer integration concepts and be able to demonstrate proven performance in a highly specialized area, such as local area network architecture and relational database architecture.
Must have strong management skills.
Must be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Must not engage in any real estate activities, such as, but not limited to, buying, selling, acting as broker for others or performing appraisal work, or selling OCPA computerized database information or computer systems for personal gain while employed.
Must not engage in outside programming work or consulting.
