Engineer (Automation) Software tools developer for WebSphere/Java environments. Must be expert in Python, Perl, JACL (TCL), scripting languages, and software tools. Ideal candidates will have expert level of experience in developing automation tools for deployments; environment builds for WebSphere (or any J2EE) application server environments. The SME will be a principal developer in updating and adapting Middleware deployment automation building and developing tools to achieve the automation objectives.

Deep understanding of UNIX and Windows system administration and broad awareness of networking, storage, and, distributed systems environments will be required to be successful.

Primary Responsibilities: - Develop Python, Perl, JACL, shell scripts, WMI and VB scripts and batch files for automation of WebSphere application server systems and application administration. - Package the scripts in tool format and help enterprise tools repository - Train customers in the use, administration, and customization scripts - Work with team to deploy large scale business critical applications using automation tools - Develop custom tools for environment builds, deployments and customization for each applications using industry standard programming languages including Python, Perl, Shell, and Visual Basic to meet application's business needs.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years Perl, Python, JACL, and shell scripting experience on Unix (preferably AIX) and/or Windows platforms - 1-2 years of WebSphere (or any Java) application server administration experience preferred - Unix Administration and automation experience.
