Labor Category Description Total Experience Ten (10) years progressive experience in the evaluation, design, and analysis of business or scientific applications using database management systems or high level programming languages.

Specialized Experience. Five (5) years of specific experience managing business and systems applications including requirements definition to ensure systems integrity.

Education and other requirements. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline. A master’s degree is preferred.

Duties. Performs and is responsible for overall systems analysis, design, programming, documentation, performance evaluation, or implementation of multiple complex system applications and related Management Information Systems/Automated Data Processing (MIS/ADP) systems. Communicates with all levels of management. Oversees all phases of the software development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases. Provides management directions and solutions to integrate network management solutions across communications forms, multi-network architectures, processing systems, and network elements.

Management/Technical Leadership Skills Required (identify any specific skills required beyond the labor category requirements)

Required:

· At least 3 years experience as a systems administrator for Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) software

· Experienced in assigning and tracking user permissions and rights within Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) software based on work objectives and position authorization

· Ability to train users on Solomon features and functions and to enhance the user experience with Solomon solutions to business problems.

· Ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with systems users, vendors, computer operations personnel, programmer analysts and technical support specialists.

Desired:

· Knowledge of the principles and practices of designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and controlling data base management systems for multipurpose, multitasking computers

· Knowledge of data base management systems, software and tools

· Knowledge of third generation and other generally accepted computer programming languages

· Skill in documenting new and revised data base management systems procedures and standards

· Skill in using diagnostic and performance tools and other software products to maintain established standards for data base management systems

· At least three years experience generating reports with Microsoft FRx report writer software including FRx Web and Report Server

· At least three years experience creating SQL statements and running scripts from Microsoft SQL Query Analyzer

· Experience with administration and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics SL Business Portal module

· Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) software with other applications

· The candidate may be asked to work temporary assignments under the same contract and task order at various sites across the State of Maryland, to backfill the absences of other personnel in similar work assignments.
