IBM Websphere and MQ middleware infrastructure

Install, support and maintain IBM Websphere and MQ middleware infrastructure, adhering to existing architectural guidelines. Act as point of escalation for development and operations teams. Assess and resolve problems in lab and production systems. Work with existing team to deploy new installations based on established standards, and help evolve those standards to remain relevant to new application development needs. The position requires several years of technical experience with WebSphere or a similar Java application server (Weblogic, etc), IBM MQ Series. LDAP and/or Siteminder experience is a definite plus.
Primary Responsibilities - Install, configure, administer and support Websphere Application Server, MQ (MQSeries), LDAP and related middleware integration products. - Work with engineering team and operations to implement standardized deployments of these products. - Provide production and lab support of middleware components, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and assist in amending Visa's procedures and documents to avoid these issues in future deployments. - Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of operational procedures. - Work with Project Management, Operations, and/or Engineering teams to integrate site enhancements and monitoring tools. - Working knowledge of shell scripting, perl, python. Strong knowledge prefered, as department direction is to automate routine tasks. - Familiarity with SiteMinder and LDAP a strong plus. - Position may require on-call support as needed by project. Experience and Qualifications: - 2 to 5 years Java application server, and MQ (IBM MQ Series) administration experience on Unix (preferably AIX) and/or Windows platforms


LDAP administration experience preferred - Unix Administration and Windows administration & performance tuning a plus. - Familiar with Oracle or DB2 a plus. - Strong team player
