Job Description: Microsoft Information Worker - Sharepoint Architect

Qualifications absolutely required:

• Senior or Architect Engineers only - No mid-level Engineers will be considered.
• Seven to ten years direct experience with Web application development
• Three years previous consulting experience
• Current Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) required
• Four-year degree in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of Microsoft IW principles including supporting technologies such as SharePoint Technologies (Windows SharePoint Services v2, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, Windows SharePoint Services v3, Office SharePoint Server 2007), Office System, InfoPath and Forma Services, BizTalk and Web services
• Web site design and development experience in a Microsoft environment.

• Experience with .NET servers and tools required
• Knowledge and skills in ASP.Net, C#.Net, VBScript, and XML
• Working knowledge of SQL Server 2000 with database/Web connectivity familiarity, plus database management and file access methods

The job to be done:

• Assist Berbee clients with business requirements for their SharePoint and Office System based solutions. Assist with creation of the Information Architecture (taxonomy) appropriate to each particular client and take the design all the way through the solution Life-Cycle.

• Lead complete software development lifecycle, including analysis. Design, code and unit test, for Information Worker applications based on Microsoft technologies, especially .NET, web services and SQL.
• Build applications using Internet and Windows Development tools. Manage, develop, integrate and implement related applications components, including front-end development, server-side development and database integration.

At least one engagement, in an Architect role, working with Sharepoint 2007
Multiple engagements, in an Architect role, working with Sharepoint 2003
Significant experience on engagements with 2000+ users
Great communication skills (will work directly with the user community)
Travel expectation requirement of 50% or more
